Meaning, if a person is in the country illegally or temporarily, their children will not have access to birthright citizenship.  People who are in the country permanently and have obtained it through legal means are allowed birthright citizenship for their children.

Virginia internet gaming bill delayed for further study, eyes 2026 launch

A proposal to legalize internet gaming in Virginia has been put on hold as lawmakers seek more time to assess its potential impact. Senate Bill 827,  introduced by Sen. Mamie Locke, D-Hampton, would authorize the Virginia Lottery Board to issue licenses to casino gaming operators for online gaming. 

Virginians wagered almost $761M in sports betting in November 2024

Virginia Lottery released data on Tuesday showing that Virginians wagered $760.96 millions in sports bets in November 2024. This is 19.1% more than what they wagered in November 2023.
