I am running for the Republican nomination for the 32nd District Virginia Senate seat. I am an immigrant, had teaching experience in colleges both in and outside the country.
Having lived in here for 24 years. I’ve seen firsthand the growth and changes in our county and have been deeply involved in our schools and community. In 2021, I was one of seven candidates for a vacant school board seat. After the school board’s 2020 decision to change the admission policy for Loudoun’s Academy of Science, I joined many parents to protest this decision at a school board meeting. In 2022, I worked with other parents to gather over 360 signatures to file a formal complaint against the board regarding this issue.
Since 2015, my organization, the 80-20 Initiative DC Chapter, has been actively involved in a fight against discriminatory admissions policies targeting Asian American students at Harvard. Over the past ten years, the Asian American Coalition for Education (AACE), where I serve as a board director, joined forces with Mr. Blum’s Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA). Together, we won the landmark case against Harvard.
Our hard-fought battle led the Supreme Court to overturn Affirmative Action – a historic milestone with a positive impact on America’s future and beginning of end of DEI stupidity that has divided this country for so long and caused its decline.
Loudoun County’s substantial revenue from data centers, along with rising population and property values, should have allowed for a reduction in property taxes. Instead, high property taxes are driving retirees out of the county and adding to the already high cost of living. Unfortunately, the county government and its supervisors seem to spend taxpayer money freely, with unnecessary projects and wasted resources.
The escalating tolls on the Greenway have rendered it nearly useless, hindering Loudoun’s economic development for years. This road, along with the nearby Dulles International Airport, should be a magnet for business growth, reducing our heavy reliance on data centers, which generate fewer jobs due to automation. I propose that we think boldly and work to return the Greenway to state control, which could open doors to more diverse economic opportunities.
Loudoun has some of the best schools in the nation, yet we struggle to produce enough students ready to meet our country’s future STEM demands. I want to see our schools’ educational outcomes rigorously measured—both internally and against international standards. True progress in education is about much more than spending; it’s about preparing students meaningfully. Schools should be places of enjoyable and rewarding learning, not merely for recreation.
