Ram Venkatachalam wins Republican primary for Virginia House of Delegates Dist. 26

has won a close election for the Republican nomination for . The election took place at a Republican Mass Meeting of the 26th District called by Republican Committee Chairman Pio. Also competing for the nomination was Ommair Butt, a resident of .  

Ram and his wife are 15-year residents of Brambleton with two in public elementary school.

A former candidate for Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and chair of the County’s Transit Advisory Board, Ram brings a deep understanding of local issues. His focus will be on lowering , increasing economic opportunity, public safety, and quality public for every child.  

Ram believes the General Assembly in Richmond needs new leadership that focuses on commonsense solutions for Virginians and not divisive social issues.
