A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing an officer of the Fairfax County Police Department.
According to scanner traffic, officers responded to the block of Fair Lakes Pkwy around 2:47 pm for a “suspicious individual” after 911 had received “several” calls from someone who was rambling.
Officers reported that at 2:56 pm they had detained one man, but requested a rescue unit after “the subject” pulled a knife on an officer.
On the scanner, an officer reported “He has been cut.”
Fairfax County Police Department announced on social media that the officer had been transported to hospital for injuries not considered as life-threatening. This was shortly before 4 pm.
The FCPD reported that “the suspect, an adult man, was arrested at the scene.” Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have been dispatched to the scene.
A male suspect was arrested at the scene. Our Major Crimes Bureau detectives are investigating the crime scene. (2/2)
