As a proud Virginian I feel compelled to voice my concerns about John McAuliff’s candidacy for the Virginia House of Delegates. At a time our Commonwealth continues to face pressing challenges—from crime to burdensome taxes—we need steadfast principled leadership that offers proven solutions. McAuliff simply does not fit that mold.
First and foremost, his policy positions reflect a troubling tendency toward government overreach. From proposals favoring expansive environmental regulations that threaten our agricultural and energy sectors, to support for increased spending without clear plans for accountability, McAuliff appears committed to policies that will increase the burden on hardworking Virginians rather than empower them.
Moreover, his views on education undermine the very foundation of parental rights and local control. Instead of championing curriculum transparency and supporting school choice, he has aligned himself with bureaucratic solutions that push parents aside and leave students behind while increasing costs.
We must also consider the broader ideological lens through which he operates. McAuliff’s public statements suggest a preference for damaging progressive values over proven traditional ones—values that have eroded personal responsibility and community cohesion in other states. Virginians deserve a representative who respects the Constitution, values the free market, and champions individual liberty.
This election is a chance to reaffirm our commitment to common-sense governance. I urge fellow citizens to think critically and reelect Geary Higgins, who truly reflect Virginia’s conservative principles—because both our and our children’s futures depends on it.
