Russia Hoax Ringleader Adam Schiff Urges Big Tech to Censor Election Content

Congressman Adam Schiff has called on Big Tech companies like Meta, Google, X, and TikTok to crack down on misinformation and disinformation ahead of the 2024 election, citing threats to democracy.

Schiff’s demand for greater censorship comes despite his previous role in spreading the now-debunked Russia collusion allegations during the 2016 election, which he repeatedly promoted without evidence.

In a letter to tech CEOs, Schiff and other Democrats expressed concerns about platforms not being transparent enough in their efforts to combat harmful content, asking how they plan to adjust policies leading up to Election Day.

This call for increased oversight occurs in the wake of revelations that Facebook, pressured by federal agencies, censored stories like the Hunter Biden laptop scandal during the 2020 election, which Zuckerberg later admitted was not disinformation.
